Abstract: Starting in 2019, more and more MAGA intellectuals started talking about “Western Civilization.” In this presentation, Gorski identifies the key factions of the MAGA elite, explains why they took a civilizationist turn, and traces the emergence of a new trans-Atlantic right, linking religious, populist and fascist movements in the US and the EU.”
