In 2023, Jakob will join the ‘Extreme Beliefs’ research group as a postdoc to study extreme beliefs as Wittgensteinian hinges and how cognitive behavioural therapy could target such extreme hinges.
Jakob studied philosophy at the Université de Fribourg, the Universities of St Andrews and Stirling, before completing his doctorate in philosophy at the University of Cologne in 2021. Among others he has published on delusions in the Asian Journal of Philosophy, virtue epistemology in Philosophical Studies, and non-evidential epistemology in Synthese.
